Low-flow sampling
Controlled pumping rates, drawdown monitoring and field-parameter stabilisation support representative sampling where low-flow methods are appropriate to the monitoring objective and bore conditions.
Sampling Method & QA/QC
Detailed sampling methodology supporting Soltera’s integrated Groundwater Monitoring & Sampling service, including low-flow methods, field parameters, QA/QC, preservation and laboratory coordination.
Core field service
Representative groundwater samples depend on the full field process—not only filling bottles. Soltera plans and executes sampling around the monitoring objectives, bore condition, sampling method, equipment, field parameter behaviour, QA/QC and laboratory requirements.
Sampling capability
A consistent sequence reduces avoidable variability and preserves the traceability of each monitoring event.
Controlled pumping rates, drawdown monitoring and field-parameter stabilisation support representative sampling where low-flow methods are appropriate to the monitoring objective and bore conditions.
Field measurements can include pH, electrical conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, oxidation-reduction potential and turbidity, together with pumping rate, drawdown and stabilisation records where required by the sampling method.
Field duplicates, blanks and other project-specific controls supported by clear documentation and sample identification.
Correct containers, preservation, cooling, holding-time awareness and chain-of-custody control.
Coordination with appropriately accredited laboratories to align bottles, analyses, logistics and custody requirements.
Recording bore condition, access issues, abnormal water levels, visual observations and field conditions that may affect interpretation.
Analytical suite design
Where required, Soltera can recommend field and laboratory parameters based on site history, potential contaminant sources, groundwater chemistry, environmental receptors and regulatory requirements—avoiding both important data gaps and unnecessary analysis.
Site-specific combinations of pH, EC, major ions, nutrients, ammonia, metals, organic indicators, PFAS, hydrocarbons and other leachate-related parameters as relevant.
Parameters may include pH, EC, sulfate, major ions, metals, acidity/alkalinity, salinity and process- or material-specific groundwater indicators.
Analytical programs can be tailored to petroleum hydrocarbons, BTEX, chlorinated compounds, PFAS, metals, nutrients, solvents, pesticides and other site-specific contaminants of concern.
Fit-for-purpose means site-specific. Analytical suites are selected after review of the monitoring objective, source-pathway-receptor setting, existing data and relevant regulatory requirements.
Field QA/QC
Soltera’s sampling workflows are designed to make the field record clear, repeatable and reviewable.
Review scope, bore list, analytes, containers, access and equipment.
Prepare and check meters against the project procedure.
Execute the nominated method while recording stabilisation and observations.
Complete QA/QC, preservation, CoC and dispatch within required conditions.
Recurring monitoring
Long-term programs become more valuable when the field method, metadata, sample handling and data structure remain consistent. Soltera can standardise monitoring rounds across sites and reporting periods while documenting deviations when field conditions require them.
